1. Damage Security Protection?

There is a mandatory Damage Security Refundable amount of $300 on all rentals.  There is a Damage Security Rental Insurance non-refundable fee of $65.00 the Security Damage Protection will reimburse Easy Street Vacation Rentals for up to $5,000.00 in the event of accidental damage done to the property while a guest is staying with us. A credit card is also required and used as security to insure there is no accidental damage in excess of $5,000.00 or theft to the rental property, and all policies and conditions of rental are followed.  A guest's liability is not limited to the $5,000.00 Damage Security Protection since it only covers accidental damage and not other potential charges and expenses.
 

2. Pet Friendly?

All homes at Easy Street are Pet Friendly, and we welcome well behaved pets that are not prone to shedding or damage and have responsible owners. The weekly pet guest fee is $20 per day for the 1st pet and $15.00 per day for each additional pet.  The guest is responsible for picking up after their pet whether on Easy Street property or other areas your pet may visit. A fee of $5 per poop will be charged if the pet waste is not removed at the end of the stay. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds, unless the guest provides a protective cover, and there is an extra pet cleaning fee of $100 if evidence of excessive pet hair is found in the home, especially on the furniture and bedding.
 

3. Do you allow RV parking?

Recreational vehicles (boats, trailers, RV's, jet skis, etc.) are allowed with prior written approval only. Certain homes can accommodate the extra parking and others cannot. RV's brought without approval may incur a extra parking fee of $100.
 

4. Do you accept Credit Cards?

Yes, we accept Most Major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard and Discover.  All Credit Card Charges are covered in the processing fee. We also accept personal checks (if received at least 30 days before arrival) Cash, Cashier's Checks and Money Orders. 
 

5. What is your policy in case of a hurricane?

We offer Travel Insurance at a cost of 6.95% of the rental rate, which pays for refunds in the event of a declared evacuation due to a hurricane, and for other causes that may affect your travel plans. (Please see Rental Policies, Hurricane & Travel Insurance for specific coverage features).
 

6. Do you recommend Travel Insurance?

We strongly recommend Travel Insurance, not just for storms and hurricanes, but for any event that may shorten or cancel your trip. We offer travel insurance through CSA.

7. Do you rent to College Students?

Yes, we rent to responsible College Students 21 years of age and older that agree to respect our property. No parties or loud and rowdy behavior is allowed, and we have a Zero Tolerance Policy. We do require a Damage Security Deposit of $100 per person (refundable) and a Security Insurance Bond ($65 non-refundable). We also charge a $100 Noise Disturbance Fee (per occurrence) if we receive complaints of Loud or Rowdy Behavior at any time but especially after 10:00 PM.

8. Is there an age limit to rent Easy Street Homes?

The minimum age to rent any of the Easy Street houses is 21 years old and the responsible over 21 must be staying for the entire rental period. Some exceptions are made with prior written approval. Some of the Easy Street houses are not included in this policy and are not available for rent to guests under 25 years of age.
 

9. What is the address of the homes?

Each house on Easy Street is listed on our Interactive Map along with the address. We also list our favorite restaurants, grocery stores, shopping areas, amusements parks, etc, with their addresses.
 

10. Is there an extra cleaning fee?

Yes, a cleaning fee is charged to cover the cost of cleaning the home before you arrive and after you leave, and is an additional cost above the rental rate. Our cleaning fee is normally lower than comparable homes in the area. An additional cleaning fee may be charged in the event a guest leaves the premises in an exceptionally dirty condition such as beer on walls, exceptional pet shedding, not following the check out cleaning instructions. 

11. Do your homes have a private pool and are they heated?

Most, but not all the single family homes at Easy Street have private pools. Some houses also have a community pool such as Aqua Terra, Grand Palms Villa and Beachinit. Several of our homes have heated pools but there is an extra charge to heat these pools, the current cost is $85/day (3 day minimum) or $500/week (This cost is subject to change based on the changing price of gas to heat the pool, please check for the current rate.)
 

12. When is check-in and check-out?

Check-in time is after 4:00 p.m. Central Time on the Check-in date, and Check-out time is 10:00 a.m. (sharp) on the check out date. Please do not attempt to check in early as this delays our ability to prepare the rental home for your rental. The standard rental period is weekly, Saturday-to-Saturday during "Season" March through August. Shorter rental periods, typically three nights, are available during the off-season. An early check-in time, requested in advance, may be approved for an Early Check-In fee of $50.00. A late check out may also be requested for a $50.00 Late Check Out fee.  Anyone staying past 10:00 a.m. on the departure date, without prior approval, will be charged for extra day plus an additional $100.00 delayed cleaning fee.

13. How many guests can stay in a house?

The weekly rental rate is based on a specific standard number of guests related to each house, which is less than the maximum number of guests the home accommodates. An additional $100 fee per person plus taxes (for the entire rental period) is charged for each additional guest up to the house maximum. (Infants under age 2 are not included in the guest count.) If additional guests stay in the house without approval, the entire Security Damage Deposit is forfeited and the entire party will be asked to leave.
 

14. Do you only allow weekly rentals?

From Mid-March through approximately Mid-August we primarily accept weekly rentals. Normally we only rent Saturday to Saturday; however there are exceptions so please inquire. After August 15th through the end of February, we allow shorter reservation periods. We allow monthly rentals based on availability, during January and February and up to the beginning of Spring Break.
 

15. When are house keys mailed?

We do not mail house keys; we actually use a lockbox system. Two weeks before you arrive, we e-mail you specific driving directions and the confidential lockbox code. The lockbox contains a front door key and is used to initially enter the house, and then to lock the house when you leave. Two sets of day-to-day use keys with wrist straps are located on hooks in the kitchen area for your use.  If these keys are lost or not placed back on the hooks provided, there is a fee for replacement of the keys and re-keying the door locks may apply.
 

16. Do you allow smoking?

SMOKING is never allowed inside any of our houses. Smoking is permitted outside, and we have tried to create a comfortable smoking area for guests in all of our houses. Guests are required to properly dispose of their smoking materials, and there is a fee if we need to clean up smoking material for guests. $5.00 per cigarette butt, and the butts are mailed back to the guest as evidence of the fee.
 

17. What do you need to bring with you to Easy Street?

Easy Street homes are fully furnished and include one set of bed linens for each bed (i.e. pillows, sheets and blankets), bath towels based on number of guests, dishes, cooking utensils, an initial supply of toilet paper, bath soap and towels. You will need to bring your own beach towels, and you may also want to bring (or buy when you arrive) additional toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dish washer soap, detergent for laundry, spices, trash bags, foil, saran wrap and other paper products. We also provide a toaster, blender and a crock-pot.
 

18. Where is the nearest hospital?

The Sacred Heart Hospital is located approximately 5 miles from Easy Street heading East on US Highway 98. In addition there are several emergency clinics within three miles of Easy Street

19. What is the closest airport?

The area is serviced by two airports: the Northwest Florida Regional Airport (VPS), which is five miles north of Ft. Walton Beach, and the Destin-Ft. Walton Beach Airport, located within Destin's city limits. Newly renovated, the Northwest Florida Regional Airport provides commercial air transportation to the Gulf Coast through six major carriers, including American Eagle, ASA/Delta Connection, Continental Express Jet, Delta, Gulfstream International, and Northwest Airlines.  Northwest Regional Airport is approximately 15miles from Easy Street.

20. Is there a grocery store near by?

There are three major supermarkets within one to three miles of Easy Street (Publix, Winn Dixie and Wall-Mart Super Center). See our Interactive Map for specific locations.
 

21. Where is Destin located?

Destin is on the Florida Panhandle, mid-way between Panama City and Pensacola, Florida. The zip code is 32541.

22. Is there shopping in the area?

Destin has great shopping. There are two major shopping centers within three miles of Easy Street, "The Destin Commons", which has most of the major department and specialty stores, and "The Silver Sands Factory Stores", which features most of the major Outlet Stores.

23. How far is the beach from your houses?

All of our homes are located from 300 feet to three blocks from the beach, and are all located north of Scenic Highway 98 (which borders the Gulf of Mexico) and south of US Highway 98. The "Area Location Map" displays the actual location of each house, its address and proximity to the beach.

24. Is it easy to get to the beach?

All of our homes on Easy Street are within easy walking distance from the beach. Homes three blocks or more from the beach come standard with a street legal golf cart (at no additional cost). Homes less than two blocks from the beach, come with a wagon, cooler on wheels and the option of renting a street legal golf cart .
 

25. Where is Easy Street?

Easy Street started off as two private homes on a private cul-de-sac, the Coral Cabana and the Pineapple Cabana. We have since built a third house, the Banana Cabana. In addition to the Easy Street homes, we now have a number of other homes located throughout the Crystal Beach area of Destin that stretch up and down Scenic Highway 98, and all are south of US Highway 98. All of our  homes are pet friendly.
